THE CLOSER - DRUM SOLO

Written for Sydney Jazz Ensemble, SMALL TALK BIG BAND in 2014. 
Dedicated to Sydney drummer Mike Quigley.
High energy drum feature alternating between 3/4 and 5/4 solo sections with tropical slow reggae group in between. 
Inspirations are taken from the sweet waltz grooves of 1960's European Big Band - Kenny Clarke / Francy Boland Big Band with their twin drummers Kenny Clarke and Kenny Clair.
