Our son progressed from beginner to advanced levels of Tuba under Rod's tuition over a period of 4 years and during that time Rod demonstrated patience, motivation and thoughtfulness. Our son was able to achieve school scholarship offers going into year 7 for music based on tuba performance. Rod is highly recommended for brass instrument tuition.

My wife Karen and I warmly commend Rod Herbert to anyone wanting music tuition. He tutored our eldest child Tim in Trombone for 9 years from Year 3 to Tims year 2014 HSC. Rod also helped Tim during his HSC in music composition and performance with tips and advice - among his many accomplishments he is an experienced HSC Music examiner. Rod's encouraging and cheerful nature have made him a welcome guest to our home over the years and works well with all our children. Our youngest son Mathews trumpet lessons benefited from Rods teaching skills and his mastery of brass instruments have brought musical variety, fun and professionalism into our childrens lives. He has been patient and persistent in bringing on Mathew despite early learning difficulties, and he has taught our daughter Kate euphonium as well.
